Do Mennonites have their own schools?
Yes, Mennonites provide educational opportunities—prekindergarten through seminary—to Mennonites and those interested in an education from the Mennonite/Anabaptist perspective. The Mennonite Church USA denomination has a relationship with five colleges and two seminaries in Kansas, Indiana, Ohio, and Virginia. Links to their websites are available here. There are also higher education institutions that have ties with the Mennonite Church Canada and Mennonite Brethren denominations.
The Mennonite Schools Council includes 37 member schools in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. These elementary and secondary schools have a relationship with local Mennonite congregations or with the regional Mennonite conference. For locations of Mennonite schools, visit this website. A number of Mennonite schools are not members of the Mennonite Schools Council but are affiliated with Mennonite congregations.
