Know what you want.

How much of your life do you spend toiling and stressing over things you don't want? Or just think you want? Do you pursue goals just because everyone else does? Do you obsess over acquiring things merely for the chase, or the recognition, and could care less once you've got them? Try to identify the vain and unworthy pursuits that needlessly tax your resources. Peel away the layers of self-delusion to determine what exactly it is you want. Truly want. If you're honest, you may find there are only a handful of things -- simple, attainable, nonmaterial -- you need to make you happy. Focus your attention on achieving those.
